Janice Marie Chambers, 61 of Columbus, Georgia, passed away Monday April 22, 2019. A Celebration of Life Funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday evening in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL. A private burial will be held in Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Ms. Chambers was born September 30, 1957 in Columbus, Georgia; daughter of the late Royce and Mary Forehand Chambers. She loved children and taught six and seven year old Sunday School Classes for many years as well as Vacation Bible School at Temple Baptist Church, formerly in Columbus, GA. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gene Chambers.
Survivors include her nieces, Kathy Hill and husband, Scotty of Phenix City, AL, Kay Morris and husband, Scott of Columbus, GA., great nieces, Amanda Gordy of Smiths Station, AL, Elizabeth Hill of Hamilton, GA, great nephews, Joseph Camp and James Camp both of Phenix City, AL.
