Jeremy Scott Boyte

Jeremy Scott Boyte, 22, of Canton, Georgia, formerly of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away Sunday September 16, 2012 in Troy, Alabama. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm EST Wednesday September 19th at Golden Acres Baptist Church in Phenix City with Dr. Ray Cummings officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 N, Phenix City, AL., 36867. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5pm until 7pm at the funeral home.

Jeremy was born October 30, 1989 in Columbus, Georgia, son of Randall Scott Boyte and Lisa A. Boyte of Canton, GA. also formerly of Phenix City. He was a 2008 graduate of Russell County High School . He played baseball for Russell County and Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, FL. Jeremy was currently a member of the junior class of Troy University in Troy, AL.

Survivors other than Jeremy’s parents include his brother, Shannon Scott Boyte and his fiancée, Elizabeth Rooks, both of Phenix City, Jeremy's fiancee, Hanna Renn of Troy, AL., grandparents, Sue and Lamar Branch of Smiths Station, Lonnie and Helen Peaster of Montezuma, GA., Don and Martha Harris of Phenix City, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
