A visitation for family and friends will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City, located at 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama, in Lakewood Hall. The visitation is scheduled for February 3, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at the same venue and room, beginning at 12:00 pm on February 3, 2026.
Interment will take place at Lakeview Memory Gardens, located at 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama.
Jesse was the son of the late Alvin and Flora H. Waldrop. He served in the US Navy and was retired after many years from MeadWestVaco. He was a long time member of Central Baptist Church and also attended Lakewood Baptist Church in Phenix City where he was a member of the Amen Choir. He was an avid fisherman, especially saltwater fishing.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Brown Waldrop.
Survivors include his son, Michael Waldrop, daughter, Kimberly Waldrop, granddaughter, Jessica Matthews (Alex), grandson, Colby Blair and great grandchildren, Abigail, Audrey, Oakley and Finley.
