Joanne Beckham Fuqua, 69 of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 6, 2018 at Lakeview Memory Gardens, according to Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fuqua was born September 13, 1948 in Zebulon, Georgia; daughter of the late Emmett Calvin Beckham and Lillie Pearl Fincher Beckham. She was retired from the Muscogee County School District. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Junior Fuqua.
Survivors include her son, Kevin Fuqua and wife Angie, daughter, Shannon Johnston, sister, Dianne Brittingham and husband Bruce and her grandchildren, Courtney, Hailey and Matthew Johnston and Ava Fuqua.
Mrs. Fuqua was a loving mother and "Nannie" to her children and grandchildren, she loved the Lord and was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
