John Perry Lester Satterwhite, 46, of Phenix City, Alabama, died Sunday February 26, 2012 . Funeral services will be held 2:00pm est Thursday March 1st in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 N, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867, with the Reverends Ritchie Ashburn and Dexter James officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening (today) from 6pm until
8pm at the funeral home.
John was born August 15, 1965 in Columbus, Georgia, the son of Elmer Guy Satterwhite and Doris Autry Satterwhite of Phenix City. He had been employed as a truck driver and was a lifelong area resident.
Survivors other than his parents include his wife, Margaret “Maggie” Satterwhite, daughters, Laura Satterwhite, Brooke Edwards and Malisa Satterwhite, all of Phenix City, sisters and brother-in-law, Shelia and Carlton Davis of Salem, AL. and Stacey Johnson of North Carolina, brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Tammy Satterwhite, Timothy and Chris Satterwhite, all of Phenix City, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and 5 “grand dogs”.
