Julia Scott Taylor, 89 of Phenix City, Alabama died Thursday at the Gentiva Hospice House in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Saturday December 28, 2013 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby, 3770 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 1:00pm until 2:00pm Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Mrs. Taylor was born June 16, 1924 in Prattville, Alabama. She is the daughter of the late Robert A. and Lucy Gentry Scott. She was a homemaker and baptist by faith.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Henry Lester Taylor, daughter, Barbara Taylor and son Lester Eugene Taylor and wife Beverly all of Phenix City, AL; sister, Jeanette Thigpen, brother, Jimmy Thigpen all of Phenix City, AL, two grandchildren, Scott Taylor and wife Mandy of Travis Air Force Base, CA, Lauren Taylor of Atlanta, GA, great grandchild, Aubree Taylor and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
