Kenneth C. "Ken" Buice

Kenneth Christy "Ken" Buice 53 of Reno, Nevada formerly of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away Saturday May 20, 2017 in Reno. A Celebration of life visitation will be held Tuesday May 30, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City.

Ken was born April 6, 1964 in Columbus, Georgia. He spent most of his childhood and young adult life rooting on the Roll Tide in Smiths Station, AL. In 1999 he married Heather Buice and gained three spunky children, Colt, Dakota and Harlie. Ken was a well-known musician around Reno, NV and was always the life of the party. The highlight of his life offstage was spending time with his three beautiful grandchildren, Hadlee, Rahlee and Hudson. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Phenix City. He will be greatly missed. After high school, Ken was formerly employed with Buice Chapel Funeral Home, Bill Heard Chevrolet and WDAK Radio. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oscar and Ruth Buice, Roy and Pearl Nicholson and his cousins, Tara Ward Burkes and Kenneth "Dink" Nicholson.

Other than his wife and children, he is survived by his mother, Geraldine Kite and close companion, Stephen "Rink" Dileonardo, father, Chris Buice and wife Violet, sister, Shannon and her children, Kyle and wife Katie,Kayla and Nicholas; Kyle's children, Kauner and Korbin, sister,Jamie and her daughter Jaci, brother,Heath and wife Dani and their daughter, Gracee; Aunt Linda and Uncle Mike Ward, Aunt Betty, Aunt Mary, Uncle Kenneth and wife Deborah, numerous other relatives and friends.
