Leonard Aaron Strickland

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City, in Lakewood Hall, located at 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867, on January 13, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at the same location, starting at 2:00 pm.

Interment will take place at Lakeview Memory Gardens, located at 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867.

Mr. Strickland is the son of the late Leonard and Oma Kinney Strickland. He was a longtime member of North Phenix Baptist Church. He was employed for 20 years at Firestone in Columbus and later retired after 20 years with Spring Service in Columbus.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons, Leonard Strickland, Jr., Michael Strickland, Kenneth Strickland, daughter, Nancy Strickland Rieder and two grandchildren, Michelle Strickland and Maranda Spears.

Survivors include his loving wife of 74 years, Sally Strickland, sister, Geraldine Brown, grandchildren, Tiffany Ramming (Lucas), Sam Spears, Penny Strickland and Justin Strickland. He is also survived by his loving great grandchildren, Jansen Morgan, Kade Morgan, Alaia Ramming and seven other great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and one on the way.

The family will remember Mr. Strickland as a devoted man of God with great faith.
