Leopoldine Baxter, 82 of Salem, Alabama passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at her home. A memorial service will be held 2:00pm EST Saturday in Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Lynn McManious and Mike Cassebaum officiating.
Mrs. Baxter was born June 6, 1932 in Styar, Austria; daughter of the late Leopold and Zaezilia Fleischanderl. She was retired from the Lee County Board of Education, a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church and was an avid bowler. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Howard Baxter.
Suvivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Henrietta and Philip Dupree of Prattville, AL, granddaughter, Jennifer Cassebaum and husband Mike of Montgomery, AL, great granddaughter, Rebecca Chavers of Auburn, AL, brother, Franz Fleischanderl and several nieces and nephews all of Austria.
