Mary L. Hendrix

February 14, 2013. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday February 18th in chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 N, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867, with the Reverend Wayne Burdeshaw officiating. Private entombment will be in the mausoleum of Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 1pm until 2pm prior to the funeral.

Mrs. Hendrix was born October 31, 1923 in Greenville, Alabama, daughter of the late Fred Tutchtone and Lottie McCrory Tutchtone. She retired from Blue Cross-Blue Shield Insurance Company of Columbus and was the former owner of Angie’s Dress Shop in Phenix City. She was a member of the North Phenix Baptist Church where she taught the Joy Sunday School Class for more than 15 years. Other than her parents Mrs. Hendrix is preceded in death by her husband, Zack Hendrix.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Don and Sandra Hendrix of Phenix City, daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Paul Higginbotham of Snellville, GA., grandchildren, Paige Mumma and husband, Chris, Matt Higginbotham, Adam Higginbotham and wife Shauna, 1 great grandson, Kipten Mumma, close friends, Sallie Strickland and Bonnie Flynn, other relatives and friends.
