Michael Van Camp

Michael Van Camp, age 65, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Piedmont Midtown Hospital. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 5:00pm, Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Phenix City, Alabama with Rev. Philip Camp officiating.

Michael was born in Columbus, Georgia; son of the late Walter Warren Camp and Jononah Hawkins Camp. Michael served in the U.S. Navy and was retired from the Maintenance Dept. with the Muscogee County Board of Education at Kendrick High School.

Michael was known by his family as the "Jack of All Trades and Master of None". He was an avid "Handy Man" an ordained minister and was Baptist by faith. His favorite Bible Verse was Ecclesiastes 3:3.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin Camp and Melvin Camp.

Survivors include his children, Michael Van Camp, II, Brenda Camp Estes (James), Jared D. Camp (Jessica), Vivian Camp Mooney (Jesse), Kerra Camp Mooney, Ashley Camp; brother, Rev. Philip Camp (Sandra), grandchildren, Makenzie Floyd, Jesse Estes, Hunter Estes, Rebekah Smith, Kailie Watkins, Emma Camp and Harper Camp along with many other relatives and close friends.
