Nettie Sue Chason, age 78, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023.
A visitation for family and friends for Nettie will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, EDT at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. Following the visitation for family and friends will be a graveside funeral service at 2:00 PM, EDT at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, AL.
Mrs. Chason was born February 20, 1945 in Hartford, Alabama; daughter of the late Jim and Lunette Brooks Starling. She was a homemaker and a member of City View Church of God.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Johnny Chason, Sr., two children, Linda Canterbury (Gary), Johnny Dale Chason, Jr.; eight grandchildren, James Gann (Allison), Jacob Gann (Megan), Monica Phebus (William), Jacob Canterbury (Amber), Damon Canterbury, Nicole Schlesinger (Michael), Linston Hayes, Joey Hayes and 12 great grandchildren.
