Noel Trent Lingafelter, 64 of Salem, AL passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012 at East Alabama Medical Center. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8pm at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL. Burial is scheduled for Friday in Illinois.
Mr. Lingafelter was born May 20, 1948 in Effingham, Illinois. He was the son of the late Leasel and Leatha White Lingafelter. He was a Vietnam Veteran with the U.S. Army, retired civil service foreman of roads and grounds maintenance division at Ft. Benning, GA, was past commander of In Country Vet's Motorcycle Club, past president of Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, was a Patriot Guard rider and former dirt track race car driver. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Lingafelter.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Janice Nason Lingafelter of Salem, AL, son, Major Lonnie Lingafelter and wife Tammy of Montgomery, AL, daughters, Amy Fuchs and husband Stephen of Houston, TX, Brandy Krutz and husband Eddie of Smiths Station, AL, brothers, Greg Lingafelter, Randy Lingafelter, sister, Carol Johnson all of Illinois, grandchildren, Brittany Lingafelter, Kelsey Lingafelter, Jacob Fuchs, Megan Fuchs, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
