Pearla Ann Gibson, age 83, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020. A visitation for family and friends for Ann will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 10:00 AM. Following the visitation for family and friends, will be a celebration of life funeral service at 11:00 AM at Striffler-Hamby, 3770 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, AL.
Ann was born October 20, 1937 to Ruby Dean Sanders Albin and John Albin. She was raised in the Valley area and graduated from Smiths Station High School. Ann was the matriarch of the family, she loved to cook for family gatherings and was known for her fried pork chops. She enjoyed growing flowers and going shopping and shopping and shopping some more. Ann was a wonderful grandmother and loved to research and share information about both her and her husband’s ancestry. Ann was honest and a straight shooter, always helpful, and compassionate. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Her husband of 64 years, Talmadge Gibson; father, John Albin; mother, Ruby Dean Sanders Albin; sister, Jewell Norred; and brother, Billy Albin, preceded Ann in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Wray (Eddie); brother, Gibson Albin (Lisa); grandsons, Jordan Hatch, Paul Wray (Leigh), and Steve Wray; great-grandson, Payton Wray; great-granddaughter, Leah Wray; great-grandson, Rylan Wray; special nieces, Beverly Wilks, Cheryl Wilchek, Janie Sizemore; and special nephew, Jimmy Norred. Ann also has other family members and many friends to cherish her memory.
