Robert "Bobby" William Koon, age 67, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at his residence. Graveside services are scheduled at Hillside United Methodist Church Cemetery, Phenix City, Alabama on Friday, February 8, 2019, 11 a.m. with Reverend Jimmy McClain officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, Alabama.
Mr. Koon, son of the late George William Koon and Nancy Christine Moore Koon, was born February 12, 1951 in Columbus, Georgia. He was a contractor for over 30 years, serving families in both the Phenix City and Columbus area, and was a member of Hillside United Methodist Church, Phenix City. Mr. Koon lived life to the fullest, always doing everything quickly. He was an avid Alabama fan; loved to hunt; research family history; and collect arrowheads and coins. Mr. Koon will be remembered as a man who loved his family and a man of his word.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Elaine Koon of Phenix City, Alabama; one sister, Robin Aldridge of Hogansville, Georgia; one brother, Ricky Koon of Phenix City, Alabama; two nieces, January Howard and Kim Foster and her husband Mike; two nephews, Tre' Howard and Brian Koon and his wife Brandy; great niece, Kennedy Koon; two great nephews, Keaton Koon and Eli Foster; brother-in-law, Cooper Howard; two goddaughters, Funke Coker and Eniola Akande; and many friends.
