Robert Ervin Fox, 80 of Phenix City, Alabama died Tuesday July 4, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL with Pastor Jimmy Stephens officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Fox was born October 19, 1936 in North Carolina; son of the late Chase Andrew and Myrtle Searcy Fox. He was a well-known mechanic who could work on anything and an avid motorcycle racer. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Jeremy Stephens.
Survivors include his daughters, Darrie Stephens (Jimmy) of Phenix City, AL, Sharon Baker (Chad) of Ft. Mitchell, AL, grandchildren, Matthew Stephens, Dylan Stephens, Chase Baker and Cody Baker, great- grandchild, Jeremiah Stephens and sister, Shirley Scott (John) of Seale, AL.
