Thelma Inez Wilson

Thelma Inez Sirmans Wilson, born March 19, 1921, peacefully passed away at a Mobile, Alabama hospital on Saturday morning, May 1, 2010 surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Alonza Well Sirmans and Zona Belle DeVane Sirmans of Columbus, Ga. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Lena Mildred Smelcer, Edna Mashburn, Ruby Riordan, Eugenia Pearl Davis, Alma “Betty” Laney, and brother, Randall Sirmans.

She will be greatly missed by her loving daughter, Connie Wilson Hudson, son-in-law, Dennis Hudson, and three grandchildren, Brian, Julie, and Dana Hudson, and her sister, Hellen Henderson Voss, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ms. Wilson worked for many years in retail management and also as a real estate broker before her retirement. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who always focused her time and attention on her family. Visitation will be Monday, May 3, 2010 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary,3770 Highway 431 N, Phenix City, Alabama. 36867. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm in the Striffler-Hamby Phenix City Chapel with the Reverend Robert Goodman officiarting. Private interment will be held in Riverdale Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers include Dennis Hudson, Brian Hudson, William L. Hudson, J. F. Beall and Gordon Voss.
