Willie Mae "Billie" Lambert, also known by most "Grandma" age 94, of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL with Pastor Donnie Lumpkin officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lambert was born August 12, 1927 in Roanoke, Alabama; daughter of the late Willie Columbus Brown and Ausie Bell Webster Brown. She was a graduate of Handley High School and a life-long member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church where she served in the Wesleyan Service Guild (Missionary Association of United Methodist Women) and was the founder and owner of Green's Propane Gas Company in Smiths Station, AL.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Calvin Green, Sherman Lambert and her sister, Nita Eichman.
Survivors include her son, Hershal Calvin Green and wife, Annell, grandchildren, Michael Calvin Green and wife, Mardelle, William Hershal Green and wife, Brandy and Susan "Ginger" Drinkard; step-grandchildren, Todd Jones and wife, Michelle, Fred "Bubba" Copeland and wife, Angela, Terri Register and husband, Noel, sister, Betty Ward and husband, Bob; great grandchildren, Andrew, Anthony and Megan Green, Eric Green, Nick Hamby, Kyndall Hamby, Boyd Green, Bree Green, numerous great-great grandchildren and three nephews, Lamar Jones, Kelley Jones and Bill Brown.
