Angelita loved her family and for the majority of her life was a homemaker. When Angelita’s children were young, the phrase “stay-at-home-mom” didn’t exist. It was usual for women to stay home with the children while their husbands worked. But even by the standards of the time, Angelita was an exceptional wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family and neighbors. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She was always the first to offer help. She always ensured that every child who crossed her threshold was safe, healthy, and happy. She also took pride in being a seamstress. In her younger years, she helped sew dresses for the Guadalupe Ballet Folklorico and dress accessories for those participating in the religious ceremonies in Guadalupe. In her later years, she took great pride in being a Nana to her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Thank you for all those that reached out to the family during this difficult time. Your prayers and encouraging words have been comforting.
