She was born January 21, 1941 in Los Angeles, California and moved to Arizona with her family as an infant. Arsenia received her B.A. in education from Arizona State University and taught for the Tempe Elementary School District. She was also the fist Vice Mayor of the town of Guadalupe.
Arsenia leaves to cherish her memory 5 children: Guadalupe Vacasequa-Ramirez of Phoenix, Sylvia Vacasequa of Tucson, Eloise V. Tauena of Guadalupe, Lisa Ann Gutierrez of Phoenix, and Aurelio M. Gutierrez of Guadalupe; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by daughter Laurie Valencia.
A visitation for Arsenia will be held Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven / Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens, Chapel of Reflection, 4310 East Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042. Funeral service will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 at10:00 AM at Resthaven / Carr-Tenney Chapel of Reflection followed by burial in the Memorial Gardens.
