To Richard Perrin, Ed, Becky, and Eddie Leeuw.  I am so Sorry to heat of the loss of Carol.  My most sincere and deepest sympathies to you and your family. I have known Carol since Peggy and I met in 2nd grade.   I  met up with you both at Peggy’s funeral and you were saying how I had run through your gravel after u had just got through raking it a long time ago.  Again, I am so sorry for your loss. Like a sister to me, I have known Carol since she was born.   Memories of  pretend cooking and playing with her pony, Snip.   All those rural adventures kids made up for fun and visiting Uncle Milt & Aunt Ruth.
Jerry & I were at your wedding.   We enjoyed Dick & Carol’s hospitality anytime we had the truck down Arizona way.   Will miss our calls & visits!

Remember when I,  my son Robert, brother Ron & my Mom came to Tempe and You & Uncle Dick took us around Phoenix to art museum and various other places.  Also my visit back in 2011 to Apache Junction when you both took me to Torilla Flats. Love ya and will miss you.

Dick and all of Carol's family,
My prayers and sympathy are with all of you at this time.  Dick will remember that I am a first cousin of Carol's from Iowa.  I am the youngest of five children of Clifford and Elsie McClelland.  Clifford McClelland was Carol's Mom's older brother.  Carol and my two older sisters,  Dorothy and Shirley were all born within six months of each other. (Shirley passed away in Oct. 2018.  Dorothy will be 85 in April this year).  There were 11 years between Shirley and I, so my two sisters were much closer to Carol then I but I have many memories  of  Dick and Carol when I was little and after they moved to AZ I saw them  when they came in the summer to Iowa.  If I remember correctly Carol and Dick lived on a hill west of Milt and Ruth, and I think they built their basement first and lived in it while they were building the house.. correct me if I am wrong Dick...  I thought if was so neat to go visit them when they lived in just the basement!
  Over the years my sister Shirley was the contact person for Carol to keep up with our side of the family (McClelland). The second week of Dec 2018 Carol called me out of the blue and surprised me.  She said she couldn't call Shirley anymore and she just wanted to catch up on how we were all doing.  I was so surprised to get her call and we had a real nice visit.  Now I am doubly glad that she called me that day!!!  She always kept track of the cousins back here in Iowa.
  I have heard lots of fun stories through my lifetime about the fun Carol, Richard and my two older brothers and sisters had as they were growing up!  It was always fun to go visit Uncle Milt and Aunt Ruth at their house and especially if Carol and Richard showed up with their families while we were there.  Aunt Ruth would always have ice cream in the freezer in that room off the front porch.  And if they weren't home the back door was always open & I would get to leave note on blackboard in the kitchen!  Connie  McClelland  Chrisman

Dick and Family,
I read on Tracy Kolsto Meek's Facebook,   RIP Aunt Carol.  I'm so sorry for your loss of a wonderful lady. I remember Carol from years ago, when her and Dick came to Iowa and were at  some of the family  gatherings that I was at also.
 Carol was my Dad's ( Don McClelland) first cousin.
I remember how he talked about the fun he'd had, when he and two of his sisters and their spouses flew to AZ and stayed with Dick and Carol and the fun they had, and the motorcycle ride that Mark gave him.
Again, I'm so sorry for the pain you're feeling at the loss of Carol.
