28, entered our lives on February 19, 1984 and departed our world on April 2, 2012. Monique was loved by many family and friends, including her fiancé; Mark Mendivil and her precious daughters; Ciara Navaeh (6) and Savanah (2). Her daughters brought much joy to her life and were by far the most important people in her life. Monique was the daughter of Elvia Flores and Johnny Chavez, and also a sister to her two brothers; Johnny (BJ) and Eric Chavez. Monique was a very strong and independent woman. She graduated high school from Career Success and went on to continue her education at Apollo College where she graduated as a dental assistant. Monique was passionate about interior decorating loved being surrounded by colors of pink, purple, and zebra print. She was a loving and loyal friend and was an inspiration to many, especially to her life long best friend; Jessica Rivas. A visitation will be held at Resthaven Park Mortuary, 4310 E. Southern Ave. in Phoenix, on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 9:00am. Monique’s funeral service and interment will follow, beginning at 10:00am.
