Ezekiel Elijah King was born October 23, 1988 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born Kenneth Ray Washington IV and was the youngest son of Kenneth Ray Washington II and Tina Marie Washington. Ezekiel accepted Christ at an early age. He sang in the church choir along with his 2 older brothers Ricky Cunningham and Kenneth Washington III as well as his younger cousin Tetranique. He also sometimes preached. Ezekiel always kept God as the foundation for his life and had a calling to spread God’s word. He received his Bachelor’s of Arts in Biblical Studies from Missionary Chapel and Seminary in 2017. Prior to this achievement, Ezekiel attended Anthem College where he graduated in 2014 with his Associates of Science Degree in Business Management. Ezekiel had many jobs during his life. One including his latest job at ASU in the Parking and Transportation Services. He also worked part time at Thred Up. Along with working at ASU, Ezekiel was also taking classes to be in the law enforcement field.
On December 6, 2024 Ezekiel transitioned to be reunited with his beloved Mother Tina, Grandmother Mildred and Aunt Teresa. Ezekiel leaves to cherish and honor his memory, his brothers Ricky Cunningham and Kenneth Washington III, his sisters, cousin Tetranique May, and a host of many others. May we never forget how loving, compassionate and funny Ezekiel was. How his smile lit up a room and how infectious his laugh was. May we always hold dear to his memories and how he impacted all of our lives in such a positive way.
Our family would like to thank everyone who has reached out with their condolences, words of encouragement and for sharing and donating for the funeral expenses. We are eternally grateful.
I leave you with these scriptures to help you through this time of mourning.
Ezekiel 11:19
Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh
John 14:1-3
Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.
Lamentations 3:22-26, 31-33
The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him! The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord. For no one is abandoned by the Lord forever. Though he brings grief, he also shows compassion because of the greatness of his unfailing love. For he does not enjoy hurting people or causing them sorrow.
