Wow, I'm stunned. I just now learned of his passing. I remember meeting Toni and the kids through our paddling club Na Leo O' Me Kai, he must have been around 7-8, my son is a couple years older, but yound enough that they would play together while us paddlers would practice. 
Jody was always super nice and always gave me hugs even into his teen years. I remember him helping the club and he Nana a lot. He was a very sweet young man and will be truly missed. Sending my best to the family.  😞

 I currently live in Michigan and dearly saddened that I can’t physically be there.  

Jody and I grew up together on 44th street and Southern. We lived right next door to each other and hung out almost everyday after school. We shared so many good and hard times together. He always accepted me for me & never judged me for my mistakes & vice versa. He was definitely someone I went to when I needed a shoulder to lean on. He could call me anytime, anywhere and I would always answer. No matter how much time went by we always picked up right where we left off. he was soo stubborn at times but yet a joy to be around. he was a goofball and always made everyone laugh. He may have not always made the right choices but I still seen the good in him. It breaks my heart that I didn’t have a chance to have 1 last conversation with him, a chance to bring laughter and joy to his heart.
Everyone who had a chance to meet Jody knows how much he was loved and how much he will be greatly missed. I will forever treasure our friendship 💙🙏🏽 thanks Jody for this crazy , wonderful adventure you have taken me on. I’m sad it’s over. See you in Heaven 🙌🏽

I remember he would always help me do dishes and talk to me for hours I always love seeing his beautiful smile and seeing his face even on my worst days he knew how to make me smile I still can't believe it but I do know one thing a heaven was blessed with a beautiful angel and he will always forever be with us in spirit I love you Jody forever and ever
