Well “Big Brother” I'm gonna miss you very much! I can't thank you enough for always making me feel welcome, whether it'd be in your house or in your life. You accepted our whole family into your life unconditionally, very rare, big brother. Man, when I would see you the joy and look in your face was incredible, not to mention how you made me feel when you'd say, “Hey, Baby Sista,” then you'd kiss and hug me, boy I'll always embrace that. To close, all I want to say is “Thank You” for respecting, appreciating, believing in my sister, and most of all loving her the way you did. Until we meet again, “I Love You!”

I close my eyes at night and wish for a man I can call Dad. A man who will love me and accept me as I am. He will love me so much he could never tell me no. At the age of 7 this man came into my life. At the time, I didn't know how lucky I was or that I would one day grow up to feel honored and privileged to be called his daughter.  Being a wild, uncontrollable teenager this man became the one person who was able to discipline me. As the years went by he stood by my side and showed me exactly what it felt like to be loved.  By this time I realized there wasn't another man alive who would do the things he did for me, who would care about me the way he did, and more importantly who would accept me and allow me to be me without trying to change me (even though there's a lot he would of liked to change). This man became my Dad, Steve. Proud to call him Dad but even more proud for him to call me his daughter. He filled a void in my life when I needed it most and taught me the meaning of humanity, acceptance, respect,  and showed me what true love really is. If things weren't perfect it didn't mean it was wrong it meant it was real. Because of my Dad I don't feel empty or unloved and I deeply thank him for that. My Dad chose to love me. He chose to be my Dad. He chose to be my forever teacher and never let me down. He made it possible for me to know my worth and to be proud of the woman I've become. My dad lived by simple means and found joy in simple pleasures. However, the man he was and the love he gave was anything but simple. With each passing day I'll be a better me because of my Dad. I love you Dad and will miss you always. Forever your proud and loving daughter,

To my beloved husband, it's been a month since your departure. Words cannot describe the emptiness in my heart. Thank you for our time together. You gave me the experience of true love and friendship. I thank God every day for bringing you into my life.  Thank you for giving our children the experience of a true father and being the best Grandpa in the world. You have taught us all what family is all about. I will always remember our last minutes together, lying next to you caressing your neck softly. Bye my love, until we cross paths again.

If it wasn't for you Steve, selling my son your moms car, me and my best friend Mary, (baby sista) would never have experienced our Thelma and Louise trip from Arizona to Texas. One of my favorite trips ever. Thank you for that!! R.I.P.

Sure going to miss the convos we had during my pick up days with Noa. I can hear you and I talking about the Cardinals,  Raiders, Dbacks, Suns, or what you caught during your morning fishing trip. Steve was our brother from day one! He was such a great guy. He was such a witty & funny go lucky type of person. After 26yrs. That he & our sister Linda hooked up he was automatically a family member. He opened his arms and heart to each and every one of us. Especially his sister in-laws & his best buddy in the world Nicky Noyes. We will forever consider him as family, our brother and the best friend any of us could ever ask for! He was an only child but was number 13 once he was  part of our family. There are so many fond & happy memories we shared. Way too many to mention. We always during  our gatherings agreed we could write a book a "Best Seller" of course,of all our fun and crazy adventures we shared. After all Nick & I knew him well before(Nick 40yrs and myself 35 yrs.)we introduced him to our sister Linda. They hit it off and were inseparable from the beginning. We are sure going to miss him. But he'll will always be with us in spirit R.I.P. our beloved Johnnie(Hey Blondie)as Nick would call him. From the movie The Good,The Bad & The Ugly. When the boys got on a roll they would recite every line to that movie! Just like kids that they are at mind & heart Until we meet again! Steve is the only person that I knew that drank Coors beer. He was my drinking partner at all family gatherings, I will miss him & that laugh he had.

This October would have been 26 years ago in Rocky Point Mexico, where I first met Steve.  He was there with Espie , Nick, and of course his date my sister Linda. He was very excited and very much in love; I believe the moment they met, because he did tell me that “I'm going to marry your sister” I said okay, whatever. And after years passed he did. Through out the years of being around Steve, I got to listen to his jokes and talk about baseball ,basketball and football. He was a big Yankee fan. He was also a big Raiders fan but according to Noa, his grandson, he changed to the Arizona Cardinals and of course the Phoenix Suns.

Steve spent a lot time with his children, Megan, Alecia and even a friend which Steve and Linda brought into their home to live. Her name was Cindy. I thought to myself, it takes a lot to take a stranger into your home but, that was Steve and Linda. 

 I remember when Alecia had Tatumn, his first granddaughter,that was grandpa's  little girl, When she was just a baby, he'd  put her on his chest and they both would fall asleep. He was always holding her and loving his time with her.

Then came that special little boy Noa,  he was his little prince. Steve would have Noa watch Westerns and Classic movies and Noa even got to go fishing with his grandpa.. Noa spent time watching football and learning the game with Steve. Special times!
  
Now it was Megan time to make Steve another proud Grandfather to Katelynn, the split imagine of Megan. You look at Megan's pictures as a little girl, and you'll see Katelynn. Steve adored Katelynn and looked forward to spending time with her.

I enjoyed spending Holidays and special birthdays with Steve. I remember Thanksgivings and Christmas being one of my favorite times to see him. Especially Christmas, he love to have the fireplace going, even at 75* weather. He says' it's just not Christmas without a fire. Steve would open up windows, so that we would not burn up. He have a smile on his face, when he'd watch his grandchildren open their presents and get more excited when he opened his presents, just like a  kid would. I will miss those special holidays. I also enjoyed my time with Steve during Birthdays. He would sit  from the tables, and just watch and talk to everyone who attended. Of course we'd be there with him, Espie, Nick, Lo, Linda, and anyone else that had a few. 

Since Steve's passing, I have spent time with my sister Linda, and she shared with me how much she'll miss her husband, how he would make her coffee before work and have mornings to share a little time together. Then he'd make her lunch and send her off to work.  Then Steve would get ready and go fishing, get back by afternoon, cleanup and have dinner ready for my sister. Then of course, Linda would get her feet rubbed. What a special man and husband. When my sister told me these things about Steve, it made me realize just how much he loved his wife.

I liked to say, that its times like this, that we all know that family and friends will always see us through these unfortunate situations. We are a strong family and full of faith. We know that Steve is being taken care of, we will all some day meet again. I say God Bless you all and remember to always thank and know that time will heal and fond memoirs and laughter will follow.  So be kind to each other and always remember to say I love you! 

You will be missed Steve Parr.  I love you!
