Beloved wife, mother and nana, Josephina Maldonado Chacon passed away on November 22, 2014, in Chandler, Arizona. She was 83 years old, born July 27, 1931, in Phoenix, Arizona. She married Rudy L. Chacon July 30, 1949, celebrating their 65th anniversary this year. She is preceded in death by her sons Rudy L. Chacon, Jr. (infant) and Joe Moreno (Cecilia), a Vietnam Veteran. She is survived by her loving husband, Rudy, and 12 beautiful children: Sherrie Duarte (Ted), Juanita Chacon, Rudy M. Chacon, Lita Bejarano, Goy Bustos (Sammy), Alex Chacon, Elizabeth Avila (Carlos), Susan Cienfuegos (Greg), Helen Mannheimer (Mark), Estella Chacon, Mark Chacon (Christina), and Adrian Chacon (Courtney). She was known best as Nana Josie to 43 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, strong mother, loving Nana, and incomparable cook. Everyone was welcomed at Nana's house. We love and miss you, Mama.
Services will be held at Resthaven Park Mortuary on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at
10 am, burial will be held immediately following at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
