

Julian Garcia Martinez, 82, went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2025, at his home in Tempe, Arizona. He was born on April 12, 1943, in Tucson, Arizona, to parents Angel Bermudez Martinez and Margarita Valenzuela Garcia.
In his early life, the family lived in Marana, Arizona. His father travelled with the family to wherever work was available. In 1961, his family settled and bought a home in Guadalupe, Arizona.
Julian attended Guadalupe School in his elementary years, and it was there that he met his future wife, Ramona Zamora. Julian graduated from the 8th grade at Rural School in Tempe. He began working on a farm at a young age to help support his parents and seven siblings.
In 1965, Julian and Ramona reunited. At that time, she was raising four sons: Gilbert, George, Oscar, and Daniel. In 1966, they had their son, Julian Martinez Jr.
In 1967, Julian was drafted into the United States Army. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a Cobra Helicopter Mechanic, earning the rank of SP5.
After returning from Vietnam, Julian and Ramona married in 1971 and purchased their home in Tempe. They later welcomed two daughters, Cynthia and Christine.
Julian worked for many years at National Metals as a foreman. He was a master of all trades and could fix anything that needed repair. His final place of employment was with Nesbitt Contracting until he was forced to retire due to a sudden health issue.
Julian was preceded in death by his parents, Angel and Margarita Martinez; his beloved wife, Ramona Martinez; his son, George Corrales; his brothers, Alfredo, Rodolfo, and Robert Martinez; and his sister, Lupe Martinez.
He is survived by his sisters, Margarita Murillo and Alicia Cota (Mario); his brother, Angel Martinez (Sylvia); his sons, Gilbert Corrales (Elizabeth), Daniel Corrales, Oscar Corrales, Julian Martinez Jr. (Julie); his daughters, Cynthia Martinez and Christine Martinez Broady; his grandchildren, Fernando, Amanda, Alonzo, Mark, Rosanna, Daniella, Justin, Nikole, Brittney, Julian III, Destiny, Ricardo, Miles, Alexander, and Ramona; his great-grandchildren, Matthew, Duron, Brooklynn, Madelynn, Maveryck, Julian IV, Reuben, Layla, Rayna, Avianni, and Sienna.
Julian will be remembered as a hardworking man whose legacy will live on through the family he loved.

A Celebration of life following the interment will be held at Resurrection Church Phillip Hall from 2:00-5:00pm.
