Major Kenneth Everall Palmer (USAF Ret), of Phoenix, AZ, went to heaven to be with his beloved wife, Diane Kroll-Palmer, on Wednesday, August 31, 2011. He is survived by three loving sons, Ronald, Trent (JoAnn) and Troy (Mary), six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a much beloved younger sister, Judy Palmer-Miller, currently of Palm City, FL. Major Palmer was a participant in operation Arc-Light, serving 6 tours in Vietnam, and flying over 300 combat missions. He is a 2-time recipient of the DFC, as well as 11 air medals. He won 1st Place in the 1958 Individual Service Rifle Championship, and was the Captain of the Air Force Rifle Team when the Air Force beat the Army for the FIRST time, as well as when the Air Force beat the Navy and USMC. He will be greatly missed by his family and comrades in arms. Rest in Peace, Dad! A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
