

She is survived by her sisters Socorro, Trinidad, and Catalina; her beloved children Rosa, Ishmael (with wife Margarita), Saul (with beloved partner Yubisa), Joel (with beloved partner Alice), Maribel, David (with wife Sally), and Judith. She also leaves behind a large loving family of over 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and 9 cherished “fur-grandchildren.”
Her life was defined by love, faith, and perseverance. Her deep devotion to God & her unwavering commitment to serving others was reflected in her support of Flor Azul missionary work.
Maria’s determination and entrepreneurial spirit led her to thrive in many ventures, from shoe repair & wrought iron work to running restaurants and investing in real estate. She was a tireless advocate for education, encouraging her children and grandchildren to pursue learning with passion and pride.
Deeply involved in her South Phoenix community, Maria was admired for her generosity and vibrant spirit. She found great joy in gardening, sharing her flowers and plants with others, and she had a lifelong affection for dogs, who returned her love with devotion.
Maria’s legacy of faith, family, and hard work will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
