Marilyn Lee Goodloe

Marilyn Lee Goodloe was born to the late James Arthur Lee Goodloe and Jessie Mae Goodloe (Cantley) on 02/03/1961. She grew up on 27th St. and Mobile Ln. in Phoenix, AZ, with great memories of love, family, and good food. Marilyn loved to socialize and joke with everyone that she encountered. She would always brighten up the room with her winning smile while sharing a good story with her infectious laughter and soothing voice. Marilyn enjoyed a good conversation that would provide her the opportunity to learn more about others. She always jumped with enthusiasm to love on her family and friends and help where she could. Whether it was cooking a good meal or giving sound advice, she had her special way of organizing and helping those around her. Marilyn is survived by her eldest sister Brenda, her hilariously funny sister and best friend Trudy, her loving and passionate children Lakeshia and Stephanie, her gracious and charming sons in law Ray and Ben, her precious and enthusiastic grandchildren Bre'Antay, Kyndall, Jayda, Bradyn, Kyai, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband Terry Green, protective big brothers, Jerry Wayne Goodloe and James Goodloe Jr. as well as her amazing nephew, Kevin Anderson.

At Marilyn's request there will be no funeral service. She will be cremated and placed in a bench sitting over her mother and brother’s headstones. It will take several months for the bench to be completed, as Covid has caused great delay. But once complete, there will be a small placement ceremony for close family and friends.

We wish to express our sincere appreciation for every prayer, visit, and act of kindness during this time. Every moment has allowed us to each be saturated in comfort, care, and love. Marilyn would be extremely proud and appreciative for the amount of love that has been shown to her most joyous reason, her family. Thank you all.
