Marvella (Vella) Rhymes was a devoted wife for 46 years and mother who lovingly raised three children who adored her. That love was extended to her grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family members and friends. She was the rock of our family, drawing on her faith and love of the Lord to guide her footsteps. She truly was one of a kind, touching anyone she encountered during her 72 years here on earth. She always met you with a warm smile and had a tidbit of advice to give – even when you didn’t realize you needed it.
Our mother was truly special. We will miss her tremendously but will take with us all the wonderful experiences, guidance and love she gave us! We pray she will rest in peace, and we will all see her again on the other side!
