Opal Fern Cauthon, 85, passed away July 5, 2015 in Goodyear, Arizona. She was born on July 9, 1929, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to James Albert Hooper and Ethel Elizabeth Moran Hooper. Opal married Mitchell Isaiah Cauthon and they had nine children. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters Olive Dean Herriman, Bevelyn McCollum and Lottie Louise Jones; brothers Lloyd Cecil Hooper and Everett Hooper. Opal is survived by her nine children: Eva Jo Treat, Mike McCellan (Darliene), Bobby Williams (Susan), Brenda Marshall, David Cauthon (Jodi), Randy Cauthon (Cathy), Cindy Martin (Robert), Kathy Grow, James Cauthon (Lillian), 31 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, with 2 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild on their way. She is also survived by a sister Loda Mae Uplinger (Jim). Services will be held on Saturday July 11, 2015 at Resthaven Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens, 4310 E. Southern Ave, Phoenix, Arizona 85042 (602-437-0436). Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00am; Service will be from 10:00 to 11:30 am followed by a prayer at the gravesite. Arrangements entrusted to Resthaven Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens.
