

Ramona was 95 years old. She died peacefully on Feburary 21st, 2024 at Chandler Regional Medical Center from Pneumonia. She was born May 7th, 1928 in Quincy, Illinois, and grew up on a small farm with fruit trees and dairy cows. As a little girl, she enjoyed spending time at her grandmother’s farm house where she learned to play the organ, and later the piano. After moving to Phoenix for her mother’s health, Ramona attended Phoenix Union HS and joined an all-girls vocal ensemble. Ramona graduated from Pacific Bible College in Azusa, California. She taught elementary school for 5-years before marrying Tom Flick on June 20th, 1964. They were faithful members of Hamblin Chapel in Avondale, Az. where Ramona played the piano. In her free time, Ramona enjoyed chalk drawing and painting. But above all, Ramona was a strong Christian who drew her joy in life from her Lord and savior.
Ramona was preceded in death by her father Horace Mumme and her mother Minnie Mumme, and her brother Jim Mumme. She is survived by her brother Lyndel Mumme and many nieces and nephews.
Ramon’s celebration of life service will be at Hamblin Chapel, 1614 S. 111 Ave. Avondale, Az. on Monday, March 11, at 11am, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Flowers or donations in her honor can be sent to Hamblin Chapel.
