Ron, it has been one year since we have lost you.


You are gone but never forgotten.     We all love you and miss you so much.    Our loves have not been the same without you.

I was so saddened to hear of Ron’s passing. Ron was a neighborhood friend of so many. He lived at the end of my block and  growing up we would see a lot of each other. At one point I considered him my boyfriend. We were always with friends and played baseball, ,hide and seek, ride our bikes, swim or just hang out. Ron’s parents liked to remodel homes so they moved fairly frequently but Ron remained in touch with the “neighborhood family” he grew up with : Gronskis, Townsends, Yorios,Burtons,Olsons,and Briggs. We all  have been touched by Ron’s passing and shared stories.
The last time I saw Ron was when he was home on leave. Ron graduated in 1965 and I graduated in 1967. We got together on what I now consider our first and last date. He was in the service and I went off to college. We lost touch but he remained in contact with a few of the guys for a while. Life sent each of us away  with jobs, families and other life events.
We all wish we  knew more about Ron’s life after he moved away from Corning and if he had any children. We would like them to know what he meant to us and the fond memories we have of him.
We know he is at eternal peace.

The service for Ron was very beautiful....very personal.
I will miss him with my whole heart.   He was the love of my life, my soul mate.    The flag presented to me is so special of who he was and his service to our country.

I remember meeting Ron and Sandy at IHOP for breakfast one morning. We sat in a corner booth. Knowing Sandy for 20 plus years we talked about life experiences. Ron had a sense of humor and loved to express it! We had a nice time laughing and just being together was nice to share moments! I am hoping that all the fond memories help your family in the upcoming days ahead.

I was saddened  to read about Ron's passing.  I hope and pray your fondest memories will keep his spirit alive and give you strength as you continue on without him.  My fondest memory was when he  would take my toddler age daughter into the pool with her floating ring. Ron would comfort her by saying "It's okay baby".  These are his words I want you to remember during your time of grief.   Blessings to you and your beautiful family.

I remember the time my dad took me to my processing into the Air Force in Buffalo, NY. I was nervous for my new adventure. Dad was proud that I was following in his shoes to serve and gave me the support needed. I have many memories as we became more than father and son over the  years. You will be dearly missed, I love you and may you Rest In Peace..
