Long-time Tempe resident, Ruby Logan passed peacefully away in the early morning hours of October 31, 2015. Born Ruby Nell Mueller, on October 8, 1929 in La Vernia, Texas, to Friedrich (Fritz) and Alvina Mueller she was proud of her Texas roots. She loved to garden, feed her hummingbirds, square-dance and two-step with her loving husband, Burl who's death preceded her in 1996. Her mornings began with a hot cup of coffee and a crossword puzzle followed by endless hours and a passion for working jigsaw puzzles and playing her favorite video casino games. She loved to sew and craft and for 10 years her dedication to volunteer service each year earned her the President's Volunteer Gold Service Award from the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, her nieces, nephews and cousins, her late husband's children and their spouses, and her many grandkids and great-grandkids of whom she loved and received much joy from. She will be missed but remain in the hearts and minds of those she knew and loved. Graveside service will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 10:00 am at Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens, 4310 E Southern Ave, Phoenix, 85042.
