In connecting with a former Beckman relationship recently, we talked a lot about Beckman and Sol's influence, as we reminisced about this period in life so long ago.
 
Sol greatly influenced me, in a long-lasting impact to my career and life.  
 
#1, Sol gave me the job at Beckman as a 19-year-old with a baby and an equally young husband
#2, Sol strongly encouraged me to go to college, and I did.  I started going to school right then and continued.
#3, Sol directly influenced my hiring, later, at Intel, in an IT role.  His direct support and persistence got the Intel IT Manager to hire me.
 
Sol got my career started, in IT, then for years, that later evolved to cyber security. 
 
None of this was likely to have happened without Sol's inputs and influence. 
 
I've had a great career and life.
 
I thank and appreciate Sol for that belief, advice, and support.  Just as an HR Director and as a good person who believed in others.

Sol, helped me achieve so much, I might not ever have thought of, or believed possible.   Even at Intel,  that hiring manager that Sol influenced to hire me, was of the best managers I ever had and a great manager to me over years.  
 
From someone outside Sol's life completely, I just wanted you to know what an influence he held for me, just be being that early supporter someone from a generational welfare family and high school drop-out to where I grew as a result of that early guidance and support from someone who saw potential and cared.  I know he did this for many, and probably didn't realize the impact over lives and times.

Rest in Peace Sol.  

I wish your family all the best.  Four years have passed since your loss, and I'm sorry to just find this, but I'm sure you still have a hole and place in your heart where Sol still lives.
