Thomas Garland Donnelly died peacefully in his sleep on May 21, 2024, after battling heart failure. A child of a military family, he was born Dec 4, 1956 in Lake Charles, Louisiana but grew up in places ranging from Maryland to Guam, eventually making Texas his home. After serving in the Air Force, Tom married his wife, Diana (née Popp). He worked for decades as an IT project planner for the City of Mesa while enjoying an active life in his Catholic parish and as a leader in the Knights of Columbus. Aside his community, he passionately supported his beloved Dallas Cowboys, win or lose. Tom is survived by his loving family: his wife Diana (m. 1989), his two daughters Shannon Labadie (b. 1993) and Kaitlin Donnelly (b. 1995), his son in-law Joseph Labadie (m. 2015), and his four grandchildren Anastasia (b. 2018), Benjamin (b. 2020), Adelaide (b. 2022), and Evelyn (b. 2023).
A rosary service for Thomas will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Resthaven/Carr-Tenney, 4310 E. Southern Ave, Phoenix, Arizona. A memorial service will occur Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 2121 S. Rural Road, Tempe, Az 85282.
