
David Anthony Duarte, 66, was born on April 13, 1960, in Los Angeles, California, and passed away on May 30, 2026. A lifelong resident of Los Angeles, David will be remembered with deep respect and lasting affection by all who knew and loved him.
David’s life reflected steady resilience and quiet bravery, met with an honesty that was both grounding and reassuring. He was kind-hearted in ways that did not seek attention, and cherished for the warmth he brought to those around him. Even in serious moments, David’s gentle humor had a way of easing the room, offering comfort without pretense.
Music was a constant companion to David, and Diana Ross remained his favorite artist. He held a special love for the Queen Mary, and found enduring enjoyment in watching vintage films. A thoughtful spirit, David also had a fondness for writing stories—an outlet for reflection and imagination. An animal lover at heart, he carried a natural tenderness for living creatures. He took great pleasure in collecting movie memorabilia and vinyl records, treasuring the artistry and memories they represented.
David also gave of himself through service, volunteering as an eucharistic minister—an expression of faith and care that reflected his sincere regard for others.
He is survived by his loving mother, Consuelo Duarte, who is 96 years of age; his loving brothers, Daniel Duarte and Joseph Duarte; and his favorite niece and Goddaughter, Danielle Duarte.
