I am very sorry to hear the news of Jesse’s’ passing! I’ve thought of him often during the years following our first meeting at Walter F. Dexter Junior High in Whittier. 
Jesse and I were both athletic and participated  in all sporting opportunities. We were both very  competitive and most often rivals. Jesse was always very, very good—whipping  me consistently but always respectful and fun! I have a scar to this day on my wrist where it met one of Jesse’s  teeth while both going for a  basketball rebound—a long, long  time ago. Fun, fond memories. 
I will always remember  my friendship with Jesse with love!
