
Together he and his loving wife Cecile Blanchard Mabile of 58 years, devout Catholics enjoyed Charismatic Renewal, adoration, their weekly Come Lord Jesus Prayer meetings, and rosary recitals. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.
Retired from Soloco, he was the best dragline operator of his time. He shared his skills by teaching his sons and others the operations of their giant machines. He had no fears of new adventures, like constructing a saw mill in his backyard. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his jokes, his laughter, and his kindess.
On a daily basis he thanked his wife for the wonderful care she provided him through his life and illness.
Caroll was a loving father, grandfather, “baby” brother, and uncle. He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sara Mabile, and Mark and Kim Mabile of Tennessee; one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Mabile and Keith Grandin; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Leana Mabile St. Germain; one brother, Leonard Mabile; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Preceded in death by his parents, Althea Theriot and Richard Mabile; one sister, Leonite Mabile Blanchard; and three brothers, Dudley, Roy Sr., and Edwin Sr. Mabile.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 9:00 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at 1:30 p.m. Entombment to follow in church mausoleum.
