Clement Metrejean, Jr., resident of Belle Rose and native of Pierre Part, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 22, 2019. He was 81, retired commercial fisherman and owner of the Bonne Chance Club. He enjoyed fishing, crawfishing, hunting, camping and watching wrestling. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 61 years, Mathilde Martin Metrejean; three daughters, Lydia Metrejean, Priscilla Rousseau (Patrick Rousseau, Sr.), and Mathilda Callegan (Iris Callegan, Jr.); four sons, Clement Metrejean, III (Karelis), Nelson Metrejean, Sr. (Tessie), Johnny Metrejean (Teresa), and Milton Metrejean; brother, Nelson Cavalier; 30 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clement Sr. and Edna Hebert Metrejean and a grandson, Coty Metrejean.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part from 5 pm to 10 pm. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at the Brusly St. Martin Chapel from 8 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tad Cavalier, Nelson Metrejean Sr., Johnny Metrejean, Patrick Rousseau Sr., Milton Metrejean, Clement Metrejean III, Iris Callegan Jr., and Tommy Scioneaux.
