

Donny O'Neal grew up in Pierre Part, Louisiana and attended St. Elizabeth Elementary School in Paincourtville. He continued his education at Assumption High School, graduating with the class of 1990. He then attended Nichols State University.
Growing up he was a member of St. Joseph in Pierre Part, where he was an Alter Server until he was 18. He moved to Hattiesburg, MS in 1997 and worked as a chef at several restaurants. He returned to Louisiana in 2004, taking up residence in Houma. Upon moving, he switched his occupation to electrician, which he worked as until his passing.
Donny was a loving husband, proud father, and an adored son, brother, uncle, and friend. Donny had an amazing sense of humor, using his quick wit and "O'Neal Humor" to keep everyone around him in stitches. He was an outstanding athlete in High School. He played Football and Basketball but his real talent was Baseball. He was a star player his Senior year, with impressive moves that are talked about even today. Donny had a passion for cooking, especially with his son, Justin. He enjoyed drawing, and playing stringed instruments. He played a number of stringed instruments throughout his life, even at a young age he played the guitar for masses at St. Elizabeth. Donny a.k.a "Dirty D" was a Roller Derby announcer for the Cajun Rollergirls in Houma, LA from 2015-19. Donny also served as King for the Krewe of Tradition for the year of 2019. He used this position to serve his community at several functions throughout that year. He had a love for Mardi Gras, gatherings, and anything that involved being surrounded by family and friends. He never knew a stranger and made an impression on everyone he met.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Reyna Odom O'Neal; one son, Justin O'Neal; parents Donny and Linda O'Neal; three siblings, Erin Guillot (Chad), Kelly Breaux (Travis), and Taylor O'Neal (Shyla); mother and father-in-law, Teresa and Hal Odom; numerous nieces and nephews and fur babies, Jake and Elwood.
A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 11am until Mass of Christian burial at 1pm at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part, LA with an interment to follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Belle River, LA.
