

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Ervin was a hard worker who adored his family and always went above and beyond for them. He was a fisherman who loved being in the swamp and was known as one of the best frog catchers in Pierre Part. Ervin loved to joke with others and always made everyone around him laugh. Ervin was proud to let everyone know he was a movie star that was featured on Weekends with Whitney called Generation Cajun on YouTube.
His memory will be cherished by those he leaves behind, his four children, E.J. Cavalier, Linda Cavalier, Gail Cavalier (Donna), and Genny Cavalier; three grandchildren, Jessica, Tiffany, and Golda; seven great-grandchildren, Joshua, Tyler, Hailey, Avery, Ben, Logan, and Raven; three siblings, Dora Landry, Dorothy "Mary" Morgan, and Edward Cavalier and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Marylouise Cavalier; grandson, Jessie Cavalier; parents, Felicien and Golden Mayon Cavalier and seven siblings, Maudry Cavalier, Laura Hidalgo, Theresa Cavalier, Guilday Cavalier, Edmond Cavalier, Charlie Cavalier and JB Cavalier.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 1pm until 4pm at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part.
