A visitation will be held in his memory on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part, Louisiana, from 8:00 am until 10:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Joseph the Worker Church at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow services in Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Belle River, Louisiana.
He will be lovingly remembered by his best friend and wife of 59 years, Ilar Daigle Mabile, and children, Robin Mabile Dugas and Lionel, Colette Mabile Gravois and Gary, and Bridget Mabile Guillot and Kevin.
Herman will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Dr. Eric Gravois, Ashley Dugas Logan and Kevin, David Dugas, Sarah Gravois, and Allison Gravois and fiancé Sam Triche; brothers, Irvin Mabile and Gloria, Gil Mabile and Kim; sisters in law Mary Jane Mabile, Ilane Daigle Bernuchaux and Ivan; brothers in law Thomas Daigle and Sherald, Lyle Blanchard; mother in law, Elma Landry Daigle; and numerous nieces and nephews. Herman is now reunited with his parents, Eliza Mabile and Anaise Blanchard Mabile; stillborn son; sister, Eve Ann Mabile Albarado; brother, Harvey Mabile; and sister in law, Terry Daigle Blanchard.
He was an active member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, where he was a member of The Kings Men and Knights of Columbus as a Fourth Degree knight. “MOB” was also an avid gardener.
