Hortense LeBlanc Sevin, 83, a native and resident of Pierre Part, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019. Hortense was a devoted Catholic who cherished her faith. She was an active member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church where she participated in numerous ministries. She was a member of Lady Carmelite, American Legion, Ladies Altar Society and Catholic Daughters. Hortense was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She had a passion for crocheting and cooking. She is survived by her four children, Kathleen Vicknair (Scott), Vincent LeBlanc (Susie), Mark LeBlanc and Mathilda Gautreaux (Hewitt); eight grandchildren, Rhyan LeBlanc (Renee), Annie Landry (Troy), Daine LeBlanc (Christy), Hewitt Gautreaux III, Bessie Dennis, Victoria LeBlanc, William Dennis IV and Hannah Gautreaux ; eleven great grandchildren, Marissa LeBlanc, Bailey LeBlanc, Corrie Perera, Owen Rives, Kaden LeBlanc, Gabrielle Plaisance, Morrigan Henry, Chloe LeBlanc, Ellie Landry, Colt LeBlanc and Mason LeBlanc; three sisters, Isabelle Courville, Anna Hebert and Lucy Mae Bernuchaux; two special friends, Mary Lee Comeaux and Cecille Mabile. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond LeBlanc and Francis Sevin; parents, Armond Crochet and Mercides McCarthy; step fathers, Oneil Templet and Felix Gautreaux; three brothers-in-law, Fernest Courville, Harold Hebert and Alton Beruchaux and one nephew, Armond Courville. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum.
