Joyce Rivere Breaux

Visitation will be held from 8:30 AM until service time at 11 AM on Monday, August 9 at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part; burial to follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Paincourtville.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jerry Breaux; 3 children, Jacob Breaux (Hilary), Jarrred Breaux, and Jerilyn Breaux Scully (Cory); 6 grandchildren, Michele Breaux, Heather Breaux, Joshua Breaux, Janie Breaux, Reaghan Breaux, and Cayne Scully; and 4 siblings, Barbara Aucoin, Dora "Tootie" Rivere, Calvin Rivere Sr., and Lillian Lejeune.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Murphy and Lelia Rivere; and siblings, Nelvin Rivere, Vincent Rivere Sr., Elnora Gaudet, Lois Aucoin, and Bobby Rivere Sr.

She was a well-known member of the community with a loyal following on Facebook. Before the invention of Facebook, she enjoyed talking on the phone and checking with her children daily. She sold the shrimp that Jerry caught for many years. She went to every event for her grandchildren and family members. She never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
