Janett McMillan is effusive with her love. In my life, I have never experienced a filter applied to the love she has for me. Never a waiver, never an absence of it.
 
To those of you gathered around Thomas Craig McMillan, grieving or celebrating his life, I want to express my gratitude. For even though I am way up here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I feel a comradery with you folks right now. We are friends and family of Craig. No matter the distance, at this point in our lives we are mindful of this man’s great characteristics; a voice inflection or the way he walked, something he said, his laugh, maybe the gusto of his assuredness. It feels a little like togetherness.

I’ll tell you this; Craig is beloved. I have a few unalterable reference points to fix on when peril or some manner of upheaval send me scurrying for peace of mind. One of those fixed points is Janett’s devoted love. It is a steady universal tone I can depend on. I know Craig experienced his wife’s love to no lesser degree. 

I will miss you, Craig. But, I’ll see facets of your charm and heartiness gleaming from time to time. I’ll catch a certain gesture or a tone of voice, an impulse. Car people use the term, ‘bright work.’ Well, your bright work is evermore a part of my Janett’s brightness... When I spend time with her from now on, I’ll catch that certain shine. I’ll smile and think, “That’s our Craig!”

I can't  express enough how my heart aches for you at the loss of your Craig. Words fail me. Just know that he will be with you forever.  An angel to guide you. For now you have your family and friends. We are here for you, always.

Our hearts ache for you.  I wish I knew the right words to say, but I don't.  Just know that we love you and will do whatever you need us do during this terrible time.  It is clear to see that you were the Love and the Light of Craig's love.  Although your years together were too short, carry in your heart the true love you shared.

You and Craig have always been so strong, worldly, fun loving and a career minded  couple .That is how I will remember your wonderful Craig. We are so lucky to have had him as part of family and having so many fun hobbies. One of which so vary recently presented. The little flying kitty. It may have been God's sign that Craig was his next angel. Craig was called way too soon. But there is a plan through our Lord and so you have an angel on your shoulder. We all will miss him and his caring and animal loving ways. Now he can give his Rusty all the hugs and kisses he wants.
Meanwhile, sweet Janett, you are so strong! Hang in there and keep praying. We are here for you, too. Love,

I am so sorry for your loss Aunt Janett <3 I loved hearing about yours and Uncle Craig's adventures in Florida while I was growing up, and I always loved and respected how much he cared about animals! He seemed to have a deeply self-assured and kind core to his being. Sending love and light.
