IN THE CARE OF

Betty Ann Theresa Casey (Née Kramer)

September 6, 1936 - March 17, 2026

Affectionately known as Meme, Betty was a woman of grace, warmth, and unmistakable presence. Born in Raceland, Louisiana, and raised nearby in Larose, she carried with her the spirit of Southern charm and hospitality wherever she went. Betty had a way of making every home feel warm, every guest feel cherished, and every moment feel special.

She will be remembered as a person who kept everything spotless, perfect, and filled with love, a one-of-a-kind soul who lived life on her own terms, with, sass, style, faith, and a heart full of compassion, elegance, and individuality.

Betty was a trendsetter for her time, with an eye for beauty. From her love of fashion and hairstyling to her fondness for diamonds and sapphires, and her favorite color, red, Betty expressed herself boldly and beautifully. She worked many dedicated years at JCPenney, where she was recognized for her excellence in sales and her commitment to her craft.

Betty adored dancing and creating memories with those around her. She had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved dogs, Marley, Gia, and Mela. Betty found joy in life's simple pleasures. Creative and innovative, she was also known for her craftsmanship and even created a patented butterfly handle, a testament to her ingenuity and creative spirit.

A woman of faith, Betty was an active prayer partner in her non-denominational community. Her spiritual strength, nurturing nature, and unwavering love made her prayers a source of comfort and strength by her friends and family.

Above all, she was devoted to her family. Steadfast in her love, generous in her care, and constant in her presence. She is now in Heaven with her two sons, Irvin Gremillion and Louis Leonard Jr.

Her legacy lives on through her three children, Tonia, Todd and his partner Kim, Dudley and his wife Suzanne Gremillion, as well as eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Her memory will live on in the lives she touched, the family she built, and the love she gave so effortlessly.
