David Stout, age 72, of Groves, Texas, passed away on November 5, 2025. Born on December 10, 1952, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Maurice A. Stout and Bessie J. Deslatte Stout, David lived a life filled with faith, compassion, and devotion to his family and community.
David graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and went on to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). He found great purpose in caring for others and had a true gift for compassion. During his years at Gulf Healthcare Center, he lovingly cared for many patients — including his own mother, Bessie — always treating those in his care with kindness and dignity.
A man of strong faith, David loved Jesus and his Catholic Church. He could often be found reading his Bible or praying the Rosary at all hours of the day. A proud member of the Knights of Columbus, David lived out his beliefs through service, prayer, and fellowship.
Outside of his work and faith, David enjoyed the simple pleasures in life — playing the piano, watching westerns, reading, and sharing a good meal with family and friends. He especially cherished time spent with his beloved grandchildren, who brought endless joy to his heart.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Maurice A. Stout and Bessie J. Deslatte Stout; his brother, Arthur Stout; and his sister, Barbara Pecorino, and her husband, J.L. and his brother-in-law Curtis Ferrell.
