

Donald Hebert, 81, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015. Born March 3, 1934 in Port Arthur, Texas to Dan and Aline Hebert. Donald served in the United States Army for two years. He was a jack of all trades, sheet metal journeyman, gardener, craftsman, and carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, shrimping, hunting, woodworking and making his own wine. Donald worked for Ameripol Synpol Corporation for 36 years and owned his own commercial shrimp boat for 20 years.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Aline Hebert; and one brother, Alvin Ray Hebert. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Loretta Billeaudeaux Hebert; children, Vicki Meyer (Steven), Klint Alan Hebert (Susan), Jay Edward Hebert, and Cathy Hebert Burke; brother, Alfred Leonard Hebert; sister, Sylvia A. Hebert, and sister-in-law, Kathy Hebert. Donald is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Hebert will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 23, 2015, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
